I found out after creating my Amazon Author Page that the one book I have so far released through them for Kindle will not link to my paperback because the paperback is from a different distributor. Isn't that ridiculous? So, my paperback version is listed on one product page and my Kindle version on a different page. Makes no sense to me at all. I would think they would want to link them to make it easier for customers to find both formats and choose their preferred. You can contact KDP with the information involved and they will link different versions of a book listed through different distributors.

You can also link a blog to it, add video, and a photo of yourself with a blurb about yourself. One thing many don't think about is, that you can add key words describing your book that will show up during searches. That's why many times you get results during searches that have nothing to do with what you are looking at. It also allows you to link and show all of your books under that name on one page so potential buyers can see them all. paul : Aren't these almost all functions that were also available on Lulu at the time? Yes at one time they were. After almost one year I still cannot add or change anything to my Storefront at Lulu. It looks terrible. At one time we could arrange our books according to time published, price, etc. Now you can't do anything. I really don't think Lulu is paying attention to us. They are just adding what "they" think is useful and taking away what in reality is what "we" needed. Adding a cover template then forcing you to go to another site where you are asked to perhaps join for a fee is really tacky.

If you publish through Amazon you have much more control over your books. And have a dashboard showing sales. Their support gets back to you within 24 hours or less. Problems are usually solved within three days. Still waiting on Lulu to get my books back online.
