I'm having a trouble again with the Lulu publishing tool not accepting the fonts I've used in my PDF document.
I keep getting the same error message when I upload my PDF file (of the text):
Fonts: We found some fonts in your file that need to be embedded. Please review your PDF and make sure all Fonts are embedded.
I use PDF Creator to convert my Word document into a PDF. I've used the following fonts in my Word document: Arial, Calibri, Haettenschweiller, Impact, Times New Roman - all standard fonts that come with Word. The PDF file creator I use automatically embeds all fonts used in the Word document. So there shouldn't be any problem with the PDF file when uploaded to Lulu.
I've even used the PDF creating facility in Word and I still get the above error message.
I had this problem with files when Lulu first upgraded their systems and about 3 or 4 months later, they seemed to have corrected this problem. However, it looks like I'm having the same problem again.
Not sure what to do.

To verify it isn't your file, check all the headers and footers to see if maybe there's one where it specifies a font you didn't actually use. I had that problem a while back and it was one stinking footer that got my upload rejected, because a font was specified but not actually used.

Something you might also try is using dopdf. It's a free addon for MS Word. I've never had a problem with fonts using it. I do think the publishing wizard is bugged. I tried to revise a book and the convertor automatically starts converting the original file without letting me have the chance to upload a new one. It just sits there and never finishes. Support still hasn't gotten back to me on it. And I found the book like many others was missing online and so not selling. There is no error message, no contact from Lulu as to why it was taken down. And now I can't even revise it. They just keep hitting me all angles.

What was the result of you checking the status of the fonts in the PDF using the method I suggested to you before?

Thanks everyone for the tips and information. Much appreciated.
I found out what the problem was - apparently the program I was using has a bug in it. I ended up using the PDF creation tool in Word and embedded all of the fonts used. I uploaded this PDF to Lulu and had no problems.
