They finally updated the Author Spotlight Pages! I just finished mine! It's SO much nicer than what we had and I hope it gets even better! Here's the link to my NEW LULU AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT PAGE! Anyone know how to turn the bio into separate paragraphs instead of one big block paragraph? I tried the <p> </p> and it doesn't work. Ideas?

To edit your Spotlight go to My Projects and then select Promote My Projects. Then Revise it to add image and other info. I did tell folks to be patient and await what was already in the pipeline! My glass is always half full
You don't understand. I know how to edit my Spotlight. I just did that. I am asking how to make separate paragraphs in my author bio. I have tried setting it up as individual paragraphs/sentences and it doesn't work. So, I tried code: <p> </p> and that doesn't work. I love that Lulu finally revamped the Spotlight so it's not that droll look anymore, but I would like to create separate paragraphs in my bio.

Try embedding Alt+010 and Alt+0113 Thank you for those codes. They didn't work, though. I guess Lulu has it set up so it just posts the bio in one big block paragraph. Thank you again, though.

Now, if they will only make the Spotlights discoverable by a casual shopper on their website...

I analsysed the html code. The text is between <div> and </div>: will just show as
Maybe someone of you is a hacker and can give advices, how to get some structure?

Normally, <p> and </p> work as you would expect within a <div> section.
And adding them to the first two lines (ONLY) of Benziger's above example, in my HTML editor, correctly gives the following rendering in my browser:
-------------------
---------------------
So, Benziger, are you saying that the Lulu Spotlight page code processing is actually rejecting such <p> and </p> tags if encoded within the <div> ?? If not, someone needs to test it in their own spotlight text code.

And adding them to the first two lines (ONLY) of Benziger's above example, in my HTML editor, correctly gives the following rendering in my browser: Yes, of course, normally that should work. And it works in a html editor as you said.
But... look at my spotlight (I do not change it back for the next hours)! It looks like that:
<p>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipisici elit, sed eiusmod tempor incidunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.</p><p></p><p>Ut enim ad minim veniam, quis nostrud exercitation ullamco laboris nisi ut aliquid ex ea commodi consequat.</p><p></p><p>Quis aute iure reprehenderit in voluptate velit esse cillum dolore eu fugiat nulla pariatur.</p><p></p><p> * * * * * * * * * </p><p></p><p>Excepteur sint obcaecat cupiditat non proident, sunt in culpa qui officia deserunt mollit anim id est laborum.</p> Obviously, <p></p> does not work within <div> at Lulu.
Tested with recent Firefox and Chromium.

Didn't the old spotlight do the same with text? I'm thinking it did but that's been awhile.

Ditto with formatted verse in book blurbs. Can't be done. It's just a sting of text.

I had a look at it. I'll have to do everything all over again for each title. They didn't even retrieve the contents of the old one. I'll have to take courage to address this chore.

Perhaps someday Lulu will make the author spotlights discoverable on their website.
Not that it will make much difference in sales to most folks. As was mentioned in another thread, the only people who seem to buy books at Lulu are Lulu authors.
In my very limited experience, Amazon outsells LSI two to one. Lulu sales are pretty close to zero.
