I have a personal account (separate from my Pencil Tip account) with Lulu. I was quite surprised when I went to log in to my account this morning and find that I was unable to. However, an "error message" did pop up saying "Account Is Disabled, Contact Admin". I have no idea why this has happened and of course no information or reason sent to me from Lulu. It would have been nice if I'd received some kind of email or message from Lulu telling me that my account has been disabled and for what reason. I've emailed their support to inquire why, but I don't expect an answer (especially as previous emails to Lulu went unanswered).

Did you perhaps have anything that might be copyrighted in someone else' name or content someone might flag offensive? Shame people are like that but it does happen. And yes Lulu should have contacted you if there was a problem. They used to be good at that. Contact support just the same and ask what the problem is.

Most of the products were the fanzines I published along with a few original content books related to a fanfiction series I edit/publish (e.g. an interview book with all of the projects' past editors, etc.). I've emailed Lulu and asked why but so far haven't received any kind of a response.

Not sure then. I've read on Google people having accounts disabled but usually for copyright or offensive material. Hopefully they will answer soon. I'm still waiting on an answer about a bug in the wizard so I can finish revising my books.

Well coming up to a week on this and still haven't received an answer. Sent another email to follow up on the status of this. I can see how people feel frustrated when dealing with Lulu if this is typical.

It wasn't typical until the update this time last year. Then everything went downhill.

Finally got a response from Lulu to this on March 23... Looks like someone flagged one of my books/fanzines as using "...material that is intellectual property of another, invasive of privacy rights, defamatory or otherwise questionable and/or determined by us in our sole discretion to violate our Membership Agreement." The email stated that they sent me an email in February 2021 which I never received. Bit odd that something was flagged as nothing published was violating the Membership Agreement. Oh well.

That is more than annoying. The fact that someone "reports" a book does not mean that there is really a problem. As a serious intermediary, Lulu Press would have to check this carefully. A report or a bad review can have very different causes. Among other things, I develop software that is used in schools. Guess what a pupil who hates the subject in question would think of it? He gives me one star. Not because the programme is bad, but because he hates French or mathematics or English.
Lulu should actually have that much knowledge of human nature.

Lulu should actually have that much knowledge of human nature. People in many different industries would be better served if they studied human nature with a side study on behaviors peculiar to one culture or another, yet they tend to dismiss it as irrelevant.
Personally I would seek an explanation of what was considered problematic.
