A useful marketing outlet for all your books.
For a small monthly fee you can list your books and then just service the sales of them direct to customers throughout the world.
You may also like to see which of your own books are being sold there by other vendors.

Cheers for that info. I hadn't realized that you could market your books through Abe as I had thought it was just for purchasing used books from.

As an aside, I looked for one of my bestsellers on Abebooks and was surprised to see it offered for sale by a multitude of resellers but with widely different inflated prices. Some were obviously second copies but most offered were brand new (obviously dependent of being printed when required).

You can search for your books at www.bookfinder.com and see others that might be selling your books. I see here it's already on Abe. I didn't do it.

Thank you JesusNinja I have found my books and will bookmark the site. Update. I checked out the UK Amazon site (from there) for my books, which I self-published in Lulu. I found this------- "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we'll deliver when available. We'll e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Dispatched from and sold by Amazon."
Hmmmm.

I wonder if the Amazon.uk response has nothing at all to do what is normally available. They wouldn’t normally hold stock as such, they just take the order and press a button to have it printed.
There are other problems to do with Amazon.uk servicing any order and these are all post Brexit related due to intransigence from the EU.
On a similar theme it is now very difficult to purchase any sort of item from a UK supplier and have it shipped to an European destination. As an example we regularly English grocery products and the last two shipments were held in EU Custom and then additional duty equal to the original cost of the goods.

I just checked a few of my paperbacks. They are listed as "In Stock" and delivery time by the 15th. Only some of them are. I think only the ones Amazon thinks will sell are pre-printed ahead of time.

I still believe that Amazon or anyone else prints for stock.
The whole raison d'etre for POD is to print on demand. The Amazon print facility is next to the warehouse, press a button, print it, ship it all within hours.

I know how difficult customs duties are with free trade agreements and bilateral treaties between the EU and Switzerland. What must it be like then with a hasty exercise! But in this place, a majority of Britons were deaf before the vote. I myself am no friend of the EU. But considering that it is my neighbour all around, I try to act pragmatically.

The male, called Fluffy, contracted Leash Mania in Spain. He was given a course of injections and later pills. All seemed well. However when my daughter returned to England with her dogs, Fluffy started to lose his fur. The Vet said that the Leash Mania had returned with a force. My daughter paid £280 for an examination of Fluffy and a blood sample was also taken. Nearly 4 weeks later the Vet informed my daughter that they would have to take Fluffy's blood again. Apparently the blood was taken by car to the German border, but there the sample was destroyed. The officials said it was supposed to be flown in. Two weeks later and my daughter still awaits the results. Before Brexit I don't think there would have been any problems, now it's a disaster.

From reading various articles [before the vote] it became fairly obvious disinformation was being used to convince people in England to vote for Brexit. The result is they now have to deal with the same EU bureaucracy with an added layer of new English bureaucracy.

I'm having my first COVID vaccination Friday, my sister had her last week, my friend's mum has the second follow-up jab today. All down to us here in the UK not having to deal with EU beurocracy which is so slow and badly thought out that several member states are now doing deals to get get hold of vaccine stocks outside of the official EU framework. If not being in the EU anymore means I now have a better chance of being alive to read books then all the better.
Anyone else having\had a COVID vaccination recently?

Anyone else having\had a COVID vaccination recently?Being over 80 I was one of the first in the UK to have the vaccine @bizzley. I had a bad reaction to it. I lost my voice and had a nasty headache. However it didn't last long and in a few days I felt better. However I am concerned about the Astra Zeneca jab that I was given, I've just read that Ireland has joined several other countries in suspending the Astra Zeneca vaccine because people in Norway got blood clots and 4 died. I am due for my second jab soon. The AZ company stated--- "AstraZeneca has insisted its coronavirus vaccine is safe, after concern around blood clots prompted Ireland to become the latest European country to suspend use of the jabs.
A review of available safety data in more than 17 million people who have been vaccinated across the UK and EU has shown no evidence of an increased risk, the pharmaceutical giant said.
People across the UK are still being urged to get their vaccine." www.aol.co.uk/news/astrazeneca-insists-data-shows-vaccine-202849908.html
