I miss Cameron. It's my fault there was tension. The section said talk about anything, and I did.
JesusNinja, if you are reading, much of the reason I came here and participated is because you were so upset the old forums were closing. I was hardly ever taking part there anymore.

Maggie,
I can't say you're at fault for tension, simply because there will always be tension when people interact for the simple reason no two people will agree on everything and when you expand that to people from differing cultures as well as polities the odds for tension increase exponentially.
That said, when it comes to self-publishing and the craft of writing there is almost no topic that won't cause someone somewhere to be upset. If someone asks for help and poor spelling is mentioned, expect tension. The same goes for lousy grammar and / or execrable plots, the people seeking an opinion will often react with commentaries about style or how the reader should overlook grammar as would befuddle a linguist because [per the writer] the work in question is obviously a literary masterpiece.
Since it appears Sprummerall is coming early here [not to sound political], I need to get back to working on things outside to prepare for what I fear lies ahead for our [the spouse's and my] replacements. Once I can prep areas, if I'm able to get some pozzolan to work with this year, I will do test work with small batches of Roman-style cement / concrete.
I'm not MIA, just taking care of other priorities as I can. There is also always email.
