I published my French pornographic novel Persuasion Puis Pénétration on the 11th of January 2024, and had it globally distributed immediately after I received my own copy a week later.
Today, 2024-04-04, I went into Lulu anonymously, and entered the title in the bookstore - to no avail. I then checked the various criteria including "explicit content", but despite them no such book was displayed.
The lapse of time for distribution is now well over eight weeks. What on earth can be preventing the system from displaying the cover of this book?

Does not come up anywhere. Even AI cannot find it.

I have just placed a ticket about it.

Lulu quickly answered my ticket in French by a long, illustrated explanation in French. I took this opportunity to make a revision. There was a snag. Although I had ordered a copy to launch the global distribution,Lulu kept asking me to buy one. Therefore I placed another ticket about this problem - which was solved within 24 hours.

Surprise! Surprise! Visiting today (2024-05-03) my Lulu account, I discovered that global distribution is now denied to my book _Persuasion puis Pénétration_. I have placed a ticket asky the reason why.

It should carry across to all other retailers who have their own age restrictions. Maybe it's broken, or in fact someone may have reported it as porn, which very few places allow.

I am waiting for the explanation from Lulu. If it is due to some obscene passages, I'll remove them, reorganize the novel accordingly, and make a new edition.

YA or Young Adult books target ages 12 to 18, and NA or New Adult books target ages 18 to 25.
Your book's title translated to English is "Persuasion then Penetration".
Kids in the US do take French classes though Spanish, Mandarin, or Japanese might be more practical.
You might want to consider changing the book category to Adult, otherwise a parent out there might complain about their kid taking French getting a copy and learning about something they don't want their kid to know until the kid is 35-years-old.

I remember when the spouse and I did a quick explanation of the basic facts of life for our daughters: "Cuand un homme et une femme s'aiment, ils reçoivent une bouteille d'alcool et une chambre de motel bon marché".
They laughed at the English version and said they'd heard enough: When a man and woman love each other they get a bottle of liquor and a cheap motel room". Plus, they've seen feral cats in action.
Even in Spanish it's worth a laugh: "Cuando un hombre y una mujer se aman, obtienen una botella de licor y una habitación de motel barata."

One person's erotica is another's porn. The USA is quite strict on age ratings and why they fit in to such. (American film makers hate it, because it's far less strict in Europe. They say US age ratings ruin creativity and realism.) The ratings are mostly based on profanities, graphic sex, and violence (even just the mention of the latter two). Leave those out and it can be YA. In one of my books, the quiet, polite lady who is the main character, ends the book saying "f*** that!" Totally out of character so more telling of her opinion right then. Due to that one word, I had to place it at 'Adult'. Whoever fixes these rules have no idea about how people of any age actually speak! Especially nowadays where what used to be considered to be 'rude' words have entered in to everyday speech.
