Ever since I read Sphinx-Cameron's book about the Swan twins, I have realised that by not reading science fiction I may be missing out on some interesting stories. I have just bought Ron's book, A Company of Heroes Book One: The Stonecutter Kindle Edition. When I finish that I'll get the first of the Swan sisters books. I love all the theories about our universe and have done alot of research about some of our famous physicists. So I do believe there are other worlds in our universe with life forms. I am also fascinated by the multiverse theory. Other universes? and what about Kraus's book "A Universe from Nothing," fascinating book but an unfortunate title leaving it open to tons of criticism.

Depending on the particular multiverse theory it can mean separate "bubble universes" occupying the same general matrix as ours [as in existing just beyond the edge of what we will ever be able to see], parallel universes or realities [side by side but never touching] with differing histories and possibly differing physical laws, and so on. Different physicists may have differing ideas on details even when they kind of sort of agree on a general theory.
As long as I don't meet my good and evil twins from different realities I'll be happy, as I try to remain neutral when it comes to doppelganger disputes.

I am starting to enjoy science fiction!! After all Sf authors must have a pretty good knowledge of science facts and theories about the universe in order to create a science fiction novel. PS. I've bought Mono-Earth on Amazon because it can be downloaded to my kindle. The lulu and kobo sites sell your books as epubs and I prefer ebooks and my kindle. I'm cross with Amazon and as soon as I've finished Mono-Earth, I'll try again and complain once more if they don't let me review it. I wish kobo and lulu would do ebooks not epubs.

Lady Elizabeth,
I didn't receive a reply.
"Mono-Earth", that was a fun one to write. The appendices at the back include a description of the "Waenstil" as well as several of the different species they share their world with [you might like some of the six-legged creatures].

Ron Miller was kind enough to do an image of one of the characters from "Mono-Earth" based on the Waenstil species' description as well as the character's individual description. [The "extra" bend in the leg is her ankle, as she is a digitigrade or toe-walker. She also has venom bearing spurs.]

Both of you have incredible imaginations grounded in knowledge.

Both of you have incredible imaginations grounded in knowledge. In my case I just do a lot of research and then see what fits.

Mono Earth. That rings a bell ... What bell is it ringing Kevin?

One could posit the bell being rung and not heard is the one for the class on comprehension of a description, but what would I know.

At last you have seen the light. It could well be that I am starting to appreciate science fiction Kevin. Also I'm starting to listen to the latest popular music (remember we spoke about that, I know your son is a musician too) as against my beloved Ella and Frank. I particularly like my son's latest efforts garykmusic.com/

I'm reading your book Sphinx-Cameron and I don't think your lovely alien looks anything like the character shown by Kevin. Is that what you meant Kevin. The beautiful Lentifa is the exact opposite of the character in the image shown by you Kevin. Where is that image from? He looks more like a devil. I have only read a few chapters of Mono-Earth but I am enjoying it so far. Again maybe it's because the action takes place here on earth. The Swan twins book that I read, the action also takes place on earth. My next book to read is Ron's "A company of Heroes".

You are very astute. Several years ago I asked Mr Lomas if he could do a depiction of Lentifa, and sent him a description of the character and the species in question [the "Waenstil" from "Mono-Earth"]. The image Mr Lomas posted is what he came up.
Having seen that, a short time later I asked Ron Miller is he would mind coming up with a portrait of sorts, and he obliged, along with an image of a "Graelstor" .
Neither species is meant to look "human" as most people consider it, being the result of a slightly different evolutionary path on a slightly different version of Earth, wherein similar environmental forces forced a somewhat [but far from identical] pattern to what we know. I try not to do the "man in a rubber suit" alien or non-human intelligent species.
As a keyboard pounder attempting to be at least semi-professional I do like to check to make certain my descriptions will allow a reader to "see what I see". I recently sent Ron a few descriptions [knowing how busy he is] that if he wanted to share visuals [as I said I know he's busy] would in certain instances cause nightmares. To be sure, virtually nobody wants to see some of the worlds I can see in dreams, as some of them are more than a bit, different.
As an analyst [Information] I learned to pay attention a long time ago, and I tend to pay attention to things many see as irrelevant though nonetheless important. Hopefully the attention to detail helps make a good tale.

So Kevin drew that image he posted!! Well Kevin in my opinion, as a character, it's a good drawing, but it's not Lentifa. Your fellow is someone I wouldn't want to meet!!! He's scary.
