Yes, that image is far better. Matches the title well. And my opinions are given in good faith, but perhaps too honest?Far too honest sometimes Kevin and some people take offence.

I realize that you neither expected nor asked for a critique of your cover, so I hope you will not mind this suggestion... There is no need for any extraneous space or blocks of color on the cover. The original image is very nice...just enlarge it and crop it to fit the entire cover. I wish you the very best of luck with your book! This cover is absolutely brilliant Ron. I'm so glad deborahinwi is going with that. Are you going to make it into an eBook deborahinwi?

But there is a difference between being honest and being rude, or nasty. It's not as if I say things like, "that's the biggest load of **** I have ever seen!" I do find that being honest from the start saves a lot of time and it surprises me that some people consider it to be nasty. No one in 'real life' does. I do draw the line at some honesty, like when asked "does my bum look big in this?" I never reply, "but it is big." Then again, most people who ask me that don't have big bums to start with, they just seem to lack self-confidence.

These people accuse you of being nasty but they are nasty in their replies. Not very logical. Comebacks for dealing with rude people roysutton.co.uk/funny-comebacks/Mind you I tend to ignore nasty comments directed at me and avoid such people.

Indeed. Some people seem to go out of their way to be offended. But I have also noticed that some people consider any suggestion, or even slight comment, to be highly 'negative' and in some way an attack. It says more about them than it does about us honest people.

You're welcome, Deborahinwi. I know the thrill one feels when someone reaches out and takes a chance on your work. It is gratifying to learn they liked it too! I've experienced that once or twice. I hope you do too.
