I ask because it always best to check where your books actually end up. I found mine on a similar site also. They are the type of sites that paid subscribers can read 10,000s of ebooks, for free. The first site of that type I found my books on said that Lulu and Ingrams had given them permission to include them (I actually asked both Lulu and Ingrams about that, and they never replied). Huh?! I am the copyright holder, not them, and no one asked me. I insist they remove them or come to some arrangement with me. They removed them. Which is suspect in itself that they would not agree terms with me. The second site, the one the link is to, told me they negotiate with the copyright holder, but they had never contacted me. I also suggested they would be welcome to list my books, name a fee. The reply was, give us the links to all your books on our site, and we will remove them. Again a bit suspect. I just told them to do as I did, use my name in their search engine, find them, remove them. Both sites seem to have Russian origins, but with real addresses outside of Russia.
This is my stock Copyright >>
All world-wide rights reserved. No part of this publication may be reproduced in any material form (including photocopying or storing it in any medium by electronic means and whether or not transiently or incidentally to some other use of this publication) without the written permission of the copyright owner.
However, there's nothing in my books that says how they can contact me! (Is that a mistake I wonder?) But it does appear that the Copyright is useless if it's ignored.
It's not uncommon to find one's books listed on Asian sites who seem to operate to their own laws, or none, but the above sites are operating across the West.

Wow, I've just bookmarked Spotify's free audio books. Thanks Kevin.

Well I hope Spotify have the copyright holders' permission to do that with them. When it was newish and people like Adel fond themselves put on it by their record companies, they went nuts, because they were only getting something like 0.01p per download, or nothing!

Here is another one. My books are on here. I contacted them and told them to remove them. They said that Ingrams had listed them there by permission of Lulu. Here is the site www.24symbols.com/ I was going to post the email but apparently I've deleted it. But I was told that members pay $8.99 a month to read all want. If your book gets read Ingram gets paid and you get paid supposedly. I just looked more closely they don't a copyright infringement contact at this site. So maybe it's legit. Clicking on this link gives a 404 message. Just click the green button in the middle to get there.

I really like biographies and have started to read Donald Trump's biography, A President Like no Other by Conrad Black.Later-------- I got to the part in the book where Donald Trump marries Marla Maples, but then I was asked for money to continue! I'm not continuing! They want a monthly payment.

Well, as I previously said, some site told me the same thing, and I said nonsense to them, then I asked Lulu and Ingram a few times, and they never replied, not even the usual Lulu staff in Lulu's forum bothered to comment.
It's not up to Lulu or Ingram to come to such an arrangement. It makes the Copyrights on our pages pointless. And correct me if I'm wrong, but our monies do not go via Ingram's does it?

Are you saying you read books on a site that may not have permission to even have them?24 symbols is a legitimate site I checked it out. It seems that 24symbols.com is legit and safe to use and not a scam website. The review of 24symbols.com is positive. The positive trust score is based on an automated analysis of 40 different data sources we checked online such as the technology used, the location of the company, other websites found on the same web server, etcetera. Websites that score 80% or higher are in general safe to use with 100% being very safe. Still we strongly recommend to do your own vetting of each new website where you plan to shop or leave your contact details. There have been cases where criminals have bought highly reliable websites. You can use our article "How to recognize a scam website" to create your own opinion. I read this in the foreward ----A President Like no Other by Conrad Black. "Trump's achievements-----tax reform, deregulation, the end of the Affordable Care Act individual mandate, superb judicial appointments, curbs on illegal immigration, expanded oil and gas production, a restoration of deterrence abroad—against a backdrop of nonstop venom and vituperation from the so-called “Resistance.” Instead, Black sees much of Trump’s targeting as comeuppance and long overdue—given a sanctimonious, corrupt media, and a gate-keeping political class that weakened the country over the last two decades of fiscal, social, cultural, and military irresponsibility." Conrad Black is clearly a fan of Donald Trump www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALGkQq3RJ7k By the way Conrad Black is a Canadian-born British former newspaper publisher, writer, and convicted fraudster. "In 2007, he was convicted on four counts of fraud in U.S. District Court in Chicago. While two of the criminal fraud charges were dropped on appeal, a conviction for felony fraud and obstruction of justice was upheld in 2010 and he was re-sentenced to 42 months in prison and a fine of $125,000. In 2018, Black wrote a flattering biography of Donald Trump. In 2019, Trump granted him a full presidential pardon." (Wikipedia)

Here is another site giving our books away for free. I just sent them a DMCA notice. I can't find anything on the site about money. So I'd check it out at least. www.libraryofbook.com/

This only applies to e-books, correct? Yet another reason to keep the printers in business.
