I have only four books showing this month so far. What is bad is one of them show from Amazon sales. Those usually don't show up until the total is given each month. I'm truly hoping that four is not all I've sold. With our books missing on Kobos and scribd, I'm worried about this month's report. Not to mention the books missing on Amazon. It seems like Lulu would learn from its mistake and stop making changes without testing them first. Not to mention I still have not been notified that any changes were being made and books might be missing. My latest book just hit Amazon in around three weeks. The bad thing is it usually gets listed on Apple and Barnes way before that and it's on neither site. I think having people work from home is bad and the work quality has really gone down hill.

I may be way off, but after watching this for the last couple of months, I'm starting to get the impression that Lulu is trying to improve their reporting of distributor sales to be more timely, rather than as an all-at-once sort of report as it was in the recent past. Last month I saw sales reported that seemed early and two changes before the Fat Lady sang mid-month.
It would be nice if they would communicate these things to us rather than leaving us to guess the truth for ourselves, but that doesn't seem to be the Lulu way.
I would be interested to hear others' observations and interpretations.

And I agree - communication is a big fail @ Lulu. What are we? Mushrooms? I was always under the impression that 'we, the indie authors' are Lulu's assets.

But still it only shows four books so put me under an average of 100 or so books. I really don't see how they can do real time though as they Global sources don't report all at once. As you said it would be nice to be told a thing or two instead of trying to figure things out ourselves. Putting a link on the site hidden isn't cutting it. I never go there but to check reports and publish. How often is that? Losing the forum was a big mistake on their part also.

To make things worse they just uploaded the "draft" of my latest book to Amazon. Its title page is screwed up. They sent the wrong files. Lulu support said they were supposed to remove drafts now after completion of the finished book. They haven't and now some part time employee sent the wrong thing.I'll get complaints and kill sales even further. Sigh tired of this unprofessional work by them.

I hope they fix pronto. When listing at Amazon, do you as the author have the possibility to switch it 'presently unavailable' or some such thing?

Lulu has gone too far- unorganised, inefficient, incompetent bunglers. I hope they compensate you for their negligence.

A pain.

On a good note, the ebook has been up on Amazon for 12 hours and already selling. It's number one new release in Young teen/martial arts and seventy two in sports/adventure. That doesn't mean a lot really but it's selling already. So Maggie I'm hoping it's my new "Scholar" book. That one has been my top selling all the way. Started on dad's cover for his book finally. So getting things going again.

That's pretty good! Twelve hours? I think it took 3-1/2 years for my first unsolicited sale on Amazon. That was my first book though. Subsequent ones have done a little better.

You can come visit me in Greece even, without worrying about money.
