Blue, I am so glad I logged in. I am humbled and touched by your poem and so love it. Good Lord. Forget the chilling, God guided your hand.
Ok, you won't like this because I said it to Larika, but you should turn this into a children's book, with illustrations. So important with very few intelligent children's books balancing both sides of the argument.
Starting from this part, I froze:
"Science isn't truth, Dewey. Don't be one who's fooled.
"Science is a process, it's a method, it's a tool
"We use to understand the tiny bits we chance to see
"Of the universe around us - not eternity.
"The method isn't perfect since it's used by faulty man.
"Yet by it we've found rich rewards and blessings come to hand.
"But it is incremental at its best and can't address
"The fundamental questions every heart needs put to rest.
"All the best of science still has not stood up to tell
"What it is that puts the spark of life into a cell.
"In fact, we really can't define what life is, don't you know?
"There is more to man than simple muscle, and marrow.
"You're certainly familiar with the second thermal law
"Of physics that asserts that every single thing at all
"If left alone continually falls to simplest form.
"Only work applied from outside can reverse that norm.
"Chaos and decomposition is the normal state
"And yet we see that life is ordered in a complex way.
"Man is the epitome of creation's expression.
"As we look around it must be anyone's concession."
I agree with Maggie. This could easily be a children's book.
