Tyner: Add a couple of pages at the back of your book mentioning your other books, with little blurbs and cover images. That will get your page count up as well as help in your advertising efforts. Interesting idea. I will ponder it. Thank you. Well, I went onto Lulu and gave it a try with "How I Became the Sheriff" because it has enough pages, and Lulu will only allow it to be printed as a hardcover book priced at $16.08 for me and making it outrageously priced for potential customers. So, it won't work. I can't do Global Distribution through Lulu anymore.

So Everyone, I decided to at least take a look at Lulu's new demands for Global Distribution. And, I'm still screwed. My book, "I'll Do It Tomarra Lara" is only 21 pages long. That includes title page, Copyright page, Dedication Page and "The End" Page. There is no need for a bunch of blank pages, yet Lulu insists now that I have 24 pages for Global Distribution. It's just b.s. I didn't expect to find anything good when I checked into it, and I was right. I am actively trying to get people to visit my author spotlight page, but so far no one appears interested. I've even stated how I am going to donate 10% of royalties from all of my books to The Pet Adoption League. No one wants to shop a little, unknown website when they can go to Amazon or B&N for books. It used to be 32 pages for Global Distribution. As BlueandGold suggested, you can add an "Other Books By" page as well as a dedication page, a part title page, a full title page, this book belongs to page, a few lead pages, wallpaper type design front and pages, a glossary of cute terms, a translation of text into other languages, fun questions about the text and any other embellishment you can think of. Very easy to increase page count.

One about the pet association and the information that while buying this book they get some funds. And for the other two pages, use them to promote some other of your books. I have a lot of books from famous publishers. They do that always. One page with all Lara books (if they loved that one) and the other one with another book (to show, that you have also other books).

These are not new demands. The minimum and maximum page have long been published by Lulu, nothing there has changed. see and read thoroughly assets.lulu.com/media/guides/en/lulu-global-distribution-eligible-products.pdf?_gl=1*1okfgkj*_ga*MTk1NDI5NzY4NS4xNjE1MzA1MzIx*_ga_E4HSQJ4YSL*MTYxNTczNjUyOS4xNS4xLjE2MTU3MzcxMjcuMA..&_ga=2.39393895.517671955.1615736530-1954297685.1615305321You need to do a lot more research before jumping in with both feet. It is quite easy to make up page counts as explained by several publishers here. In fact I recollect similar conversions with my friend Mag2024 one 15 years ago when it was our common practice to do so, not only to avoid minimums but to create far better complete and quality publications. The cost for additional pages are minimal compared to the overall book cost.

I know that to publish as they now demand, my books would be so overpriced, they would not sell at all. Please don't reply to me anymore. You have a very harsh and uppity manner that I do not appreciate. You seem to believe you are correct in all things book related, and you come off as arrogant. I would appreciate it very much if you would not respond to anything I post. In fact, just block me so you can't see my posts anymore.

Well, the problem now is after attempting it with one of my books that has enough pages, the only option I now have is hardcover. That would make the retail price so expensive, no one would purchase it. I know this because the only way Lulu would allow me to publish I'll Do It Tomarra Lara Christmas was in hardcover and the retail price is $42. That is ridiculously overpriced and it has not and will not sell at that price. So, I am still up the creek.

@tynermason, I think many companies like Lulu have a limit on page numbers. I was going to use "MyBestSeller" recommended by tasmanianartist, but I didn't have enough pages. I agree that $42 is too expensive for "I'll do it Tomarra Lara Christmas." Perhaps you could combine a couple of the Lara books (or 3 or all) into one book entitled "Lara." or "I'll do it Tomarra Lara."

Your book will not be priced out of market.

The cost to the customer may be absolutely prohibitive, but I will stew on this. Thank you.

Maggie, you are such a positive and upbeat person. Thank you for your kindness. I will continue to stew on this problem. I don't know if I will pursue a new publishing avenue or just leave what's done, done. But, thank you.

Perhaps you could combine a couple of the Lara books (or 3 or all) into one book entitled "Lara." or "I'll do it Tomarra Lara." Hi Larika, Well, I went with your idea and checked into creating an Anthology of my 4 Lara books. On Lulu, just using a grouping of each of my .pdf manuscripts together and testing the cost, it was prohibitive. Lulu only offers me the option of hardcover and it would start at $32 my cost. That's before I add necessary pages to the book, as well as blank pages to separate the stories. The cost to the consumer would be in the range of $65 and up. I know it wouldn't sell for that. If I create it, it would be because it would be nice to have it on my bookshelf next to my other works. Of course, I would make it available, like I did my Lara Christmas book, knowing it won't sell. Only to have it out there. Another book in my name. But, I have yet to decide if I want to do it. It's a lot of work to simply print a book for myself. It's also a lot of money to spend on a compilation of 4 books I already have on the shelf. Thank you again, though, for the idea.

The cost to the consumer would be in the range of $65 and up.What a pity that the cumulative Lara stories would cost so much. I suppose it's because it's in full colour. A black and white edition would be less expensive but you lose so much when you lose the colour. Mind you I was still shocked at how much your book would cost $65 ---
