Facebook has an odd system. They hadn't charged me yet.I had simply authorized a money stream. When my ad was rejected I simply went into PayPal and cancelled the agreement.

In terms of £400 being sixteen books it is £400 divided by 16 = £25
The book is 400 pages long and crown quarto. If it was a paperback novel, 6x9, it would be cheaper. A lot of people say my book is good value. Books like mine tend to be around £30.

Not sure if we are totally understanding here: I sell the book for £25 to customers. From my website. Using Lulu as the POD, it costs me around £15 including postage. The book is b/w interior 400 pages crown quarto. So I generally reckon to around £10 profit on when I sell a book this way. So those 16 books sold at £25 each would have earned me around £160. Does all that sound reasonable for both me and the customer?

Why not do a private, no distribution version at Ingram Spark, just for your own purchases, and see the difference in cost?

My shop does not direct them to the Lulu store - the money goes straight to me paulmccartneyafterthebeatles.com/product/wings-live/

25 pounds is what, $28 or $30 US? I don't think it's over-priced at all. Carry on!

I have never had anybody tell me that the book is expensive at £25. It's crown size - so think about 2/3 of A4. You cannot add up the pages and come to that sort of conclusion. You need to look at other book in the same genre. It's not a novel but non-fiction with dense and original research. Look at this work of the same genre, which I believe is a vastly inferior book (not that I'm big headed, this book offers no original research). Look at the page count and the price. www.amazon.co.uk/Paul-McCartney-Catalog-Montgomery-author/dp/1476676445/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=paul+mccartney+catalog&qid=1610686700&s=books&sr=1-1

Ok, I don't know the genre nor the target audience. I went into IS to look at the price of one of my books of about 300 pages. It's about 10 USD. However it is 6x9 not Crown Quarto.

Not one of mine but....I do see a lot of book launches being done on Youtube.com. Sometimes called "unboxing" videos. People show themselves unboxing the proof they just received. Show it's quality of cover and interior. Of course discuss the topic and provide the link to buy it below the video. Some have also provided links on Pintrest. I think a well done video on Youtube with the right key search phrases would attract some attention Here is a guy I used to follow. Just an example youtu.be/9Y37rEJVKQAThe idea of unboxing and then flicking through the book is actually a very good idea. I won't film myself doing it - maybe I will get my son to unbox the book and take a look through it as I film Actually you do the unboxing video and set up the camera to show from overhead. Just showing your desk and the book. Tell them you published the book at Lulu and you wanted to show the proof copy. Show them the cover and inside. Maybe discuss a little about why you wrote the book etc. Then down underneath the video add a link to Lulu and Amazon

When they are available I will link to them here. I know at least one person here is a Wings fan - and it might give other people an idea about Facebook marketing. IF only Paul Mc himself would endorse the book - then I could probably book a holiday to the Caribbean for a few weeks!

PS have you posted in Paul's fan club page www.facebook.com/PMCFanClub/
