Anyone else's missing? I just clicked on my link and got 404 error message. My books are still searchable just the authorpage is gone.

Maybe Lulu went to a ski week-end on the Rocky mountains - or at Texas ;-) or they cannot restart the server via remote maintenance and have to wait until the pandemic is over.
All joking aside. As long as it doesn't take months, but only hours, I'm not worried.

Usually though means they are working on something which in turn screws something else up

My Lulu spotlight was discontinued after the change. It's a great loss.

To be honest I rarely sell any books on Lulu's site. So the store front is really pointless. I still can't add or change anything there anyway. You used to be able to list the books according to time published etc. Add videos and text. Now nothing. You're in better shape making an Author page at Amazon where you can still change your blurb anytime you want, or add a blog, photos, videos and more. Just in case anyone didn't know, if you do make on at Amazon, log into your account. You can then link your books to the page. You can use up to three pen names. You can track sales, and as I said before you change the blurb description on the page for any of your books at anytime. It usually takes around three hours to change.

These mysterious "store fronts" at Lulu are completely useless anyway, if they are not advertised by the Lulu website. To look at the Lulu main page there is no indication such things even exist. How would a shopper ever stumble upon them?

I do? I don't even know how to get to the thing. If I lost the address at the bottom of my page (which I got before the update and was able to post in our new forum) I would have no idea how to locate it. I just searched Lulu and there was no visible sign of the spotlight. I just copied www.lulu.com/spotlight/larika and put it into chrome. It didn't even give me 404 Page Not Found, it just took me to Lulu. So I can't even save the address. Maybe Lulu is doing away with our spotlights.

On monday (or in 304 days?), the specialists will have a look or if it is not an error, we will get some more information: [Ticket # 199232] Spotlights with Error 404

Thank you, Larika. That is precisely my point. Pretend you are a book shopper who has come across the Lulu website. Now LOOK at the website. There is ZERO mention of any "Spotlight" anywhere on the website. Even if you go to their Bookstore, there is ZERO mention of anything of the sort. You can browse by Category, and you can even do a search by title or author, but there is ZERO mention of any kind of author page or "Spotlight". To a casual shopper, these spotlights DO NOT EXIST. Therefore, of what possible use are they if they are known only to the respective authors? ZERO. It would be nice if Lulu added something that was visible to shoppers indicating such spotlights exist, but as it is, they do not exist as far as book buyers are concerned.
EDIT:
Granted, ElKen, if an author were to individually point persons to these Spotlight pages, I can see some utility; but to a random book shopper? They are completely useless if they are invisible.

Your original comment was “completely useless”. What I disagree with is the use of the word “completely”.
Conceded. I can see some utility. Sorry about that.

Anyone else's missing? I just clicked on my link and got 404 error message. My books are still searchable just the authorpage is gone. I was a bit concerned when I tried to visit my "spotlight" page and got the 404. Thought Lulu had canceled me! Glad to find this post.
Spotlight was helpful for me, because I could direct my customers to a single link that would let them browse my catalog of offerings. If this is indeed more "we're doing it without telling you" then that's too bad, because now I must make sure I've got dedicated links somewhere else. Doable, but it seems every time Lulu does something it makes more work for me. Still glad to have Lulu as a sales option of course, but I've spent many an hour having to rework my business thanks to Lulu's changes.
Do hope spotlight comes back, though under the current system you can't even create one if you're new to Lulu.
Oh well.

As BlueandGold mentioned, there is evidence of storefronts on Lulu at all. Unless you find a book, then click a link to their storefront you're pretty much invisible. But yes there are some who use the storefront to advertise. Can't remember his name but one guy created maps for a game and sent people from his website to his storefront to purchase them. He was doing pretty well I heard. I guess it depends on what type of books you are writing.
